Veterans from the Tri-Counties were celebrated at the Haven Tri-Counties Hospice Care Center during a Veterans Appreciation Day event on Friday, November 3. Over 150 attendees enjoyed entertainment provided by the Rock Bluff Band, Linda White, Hardee Myer, Dottie Leichner, Fred Figuera and Mike White. Many thanks to the staff, volunteers, community members and sponsors who made this year’s event such a success, especially Albert & Lucille Rese, Bar-B-Q Bills, Bell Auto Parts, Carter Home Health, Cross City Rehab, Daughtry Tree Service, Drummond Bank, Muriel Ellison, Kindred at Home, The Levy County Sheriff’s Office, Jeff Reed, The Rock Bluff Band, Southern Fuel and Walmart in Chiefland. Every day, Haven recognizes and appreciates our veterans of the United States Armed Forces and honors their service by customizing care to meet their unique physical, spiritual and emotional needs. In 2016, Haven cared for more than 854 veterans across North Florida.
