Evacuations to Special Needs Shelters
Haven strives to provide our patients and families with resources to stay safe in emergency situations. Please see the information provided below in regard to where Special Needs Shelters are located, who is eligible for these shelters, and how to get in touch with the appropriate parties to secure occupancy.
Who is Eligible?
- Any person requiring oxygen.
- Any person who needs assistance for administering heavy dose or injectable medications.
- Any person in need of Cognitive Care (i.e Dementia, Alzheimer’s, etc.).
- A family member or caregiver is required to stay at the shelter with the patient at all times.
- Any person medically dependent on uninterrupted electricity for therapies including but not limited to: Nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP and feeding tubes.
