About the COVID-19 Emergency Fund

While COVID-19 continues to bring uncertainty to the healthcare climate, one fact remains true: Haven Hospice continues to compassionately serve the most vulnerable with high-quality care during this pandemic.

Haven’s care centers are fully staffed, allowing loved ones to visit patients, and our clinical teams continue to visit patients in their homes or wherever they call home. Looking toward the next weeks and months, we know that our dedicated providers and clinical staff will continue to serve your families and friends, and that this continued use of medical equipment and personnel will add to the strain on medical teams.

How can you help?

Haven has set up a COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund to provide funds for medical equipment and supplies, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ventilators, iPads for communicating with patients, and training and other professional resources for our staff to care for COVID-19 patients. Additionally, the government’s recent CARES Act allows donors and companies to claim a greater deduction for charitable contributions made through December 31, 2020.
